Lou's Reviews :: Nars Eurydice

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

If you watched mine and Zoe's haul video a while back, you might remember that I did something very special.... I popped my Nars cherry and my oh my it felt good!

Whilst pursuing the stands in House of Fraser, the Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Eurydice caught my eye, winked at me and said, "Hey baby, take me home and you'll have the most smokin' eyes you ever did see". I jest, it said no such thing, Nars products are far more polite, but I parted with my £24 and left with it in my hands. Hurrah!

I rather heart the packaging of Nars products. I know they are prone to grubbiness and such, but to me that gives them a velvetine rabbit kind of feel- you know, the more worn and used it is, the more it is cherished. Hmmm, you know you're a makeup junkie when you compare a Nars eyeshadow duo to childhood literature!

Pretty, pretty colours. Fuschia based purple with blue sparkles and slate grey with silver undertones.

Swatchy swatchy!

I have found the formula of this product absolutely gorgeous! Long lasting, incredibly pigmented, easy to blend and not in the least bit chalky. If you do have to opportunity to swatch them, go wild!

All in all, I'm glad I purchased this and can't believe it took me so long. Yes, £24 is expensive for a duo, but this is a luxury item and something to collect over time, so I don't begrudge it one bit!

If you would like to have a look at this for yourself, HERE is the linky pops.

What is your Nars favourite?I think Abyssinia and Sugar Land are next on my list.

Toodlepip!

Over the past few weeks, A Thrifty Mrs has become one of my good chummies and I feel like I could go on and on for ages here. Her blog is AMAZING, if you like all things homey and you are on a budget. I promise if you read it you will learn something. It might be tips for saving mula, how to spot a gem in a charity shop or where the best online discounts are, this blog is a must read. At it to your favourites NOW!

Katy Scarlett has a lovely little slice of the net where she blogs about fashion, beauty and exciting lifey moments, like passing her driving test! Well Done You! With large, clear pictures and an enjoyable writing style, you'll be hard pushed not to read more than one post at once!

Amy's blog is a beauty. From her swirly layout to her gorgeous outfit photos, it's a pleasure to read. Recently Amy wrote an extremely heart felt post about depression, which I think is worth reading even if you are happy as a clam. I found it very eye opening and has helped me to spot the signs in my friends and family and be a lot more sympathetic to a very real problem.

Sarah has a charming blog, buzzing (see what I did there? hehe) with beauty, hair, interviews and reviews. This month there has a bit of a hair feature, so if that's the kind of thing you enjoy, you're in luck! Sarah also shares her best finds and has me hooked to a particular Etsy store. An all round eye pleaser, this blog is not to be missed.

Seonaid is one of my regular Amazing Advertisers and yet again, her blog has been a joy to read this month. From fabulous beauty reviews with well lit swatches and detailed OOTD's, this is a really interesting blog. I love the variety and am thoroughly enjoying her 'Spring Picks Series'.

Danielle is a girl after my own heart. She loves a bit of a spree in Boots as well as the occasionally MAC treat, is a Yummy Mummy (of a little 2 year old boy) and is soon to be the blushing bride. If you like to see reviews, hauls, face of the day's and nail posts, then this blog has everything you are after.

Miss LV has had a very exciting blog month this month- she tipped over the 1,000 follower mark- woooo! Please can we all give her a big clap in the comments? Her blog is lovely. Easy to read, big, clear, well labelled photographs and an array of beauty posts. I have really enjoyed her before and after makeup storage post this month- I'm a sucker for pretty organisation. If you are, check Miss LV out.

Laura has had a crazy busy month too! She ALSO tipped over the 1,000 follower mark (Well Done Lovely Lady) and lived the life of luxury for a week on a cruise holiday. I have really enjoyed reading her post about Carrie Bradshaw shoes and noticed than in a MAC article (complete with great swatches), she described the lipsticks as a 'basic need'- love it! Laura's blog is a pleasure to read every single month and I feel confident you'll enjoy it too.

Louise (great name, heh heh) has a gorgeous slice of the web full to the brim of reviews, brilliant tips (want to make expensive candles last longer? Louise has all the secrets), nail of the days and sneaky looks into her makeup kits. I noticed in her Mini Getaway makeup bag that she is a lover of Nars and Becca, how very swish of her. Another blog to add to your reading list!

Rave, rave, rave!! Scarlett Hearts is a handmade jewellery shop, full of goodies and trinkets to tempt you. I own a few of Scarlett's pieces and can tell you that they are completely GORGEOUS. Zoe also has a few bits (type writer ring I believe) and loves them too. If you're treating yourself to something girlie this week- go and have a mosey!

Katy is a fashionista. There's a fact for you. With beautiful photographs and an eye for styling, this is what you would describe as a Fashion Blog, for sure. Her posts are wonderfully written and the images are tres professional, a real delight if you are looking for a little outfit inspiration! I noticed that earlier this month she took a trip to my neck of the woods too, it's a shame we didn't bump into each other! If you're a fashiony type, head on over and you'll be one happy bunny!

Sawyer and Scout is another rave, rave, rave shop. With items slightly less girlie and slightly more edgy, this might be the accessory store for you. Also, if you are a Potter Fan, (if you're not- what? why? WHAT?!), then you will squeal with excitement when I tell you that this shop stocks mini potions necklaces! Yes, you heard, go and have a look, you'll LOVE them!

Kerry is the only Mummy Blog we have in Amazing Advertisers this month. Kerry posts reviews, chats, recipes and challenges. I actually think I might take a leaf out of her book and join in with her monthly Pintrest Challenge. Kerry's house looks like the center of fun and after reading through her blog, I'd quite like to pop round for a glass of wine myself! She has also just entered the world of YouTube, so lots for you to check out there!

Jess is like me. A married lady who has spent her entire life loving makeup and created a blog purely to share her thoughts on all things beautiful. Her site has a terrific layout of cubes, which you can pick individual articles from. I love how easy it is to see everything and love that she blogs about not only cosmetics, but crafty bits too! Since you're at the end of this post now, why not go and give her a looksie?

If you would like to advertise on Sprinkle of Glitter in May, please do check out my 'Sponsor' page, which has a nifty little tab under my header. I have made things easy this month and listed 'packages' for you to choose from, so that everyone gets something that suits them better. Hurrah! Spaces are already filling up, so please do email me if you are interested.
