It may come as no surprise to a lot of you that I am a fat woman. Let's call a spade a spade. I am plus size, curvy, chubby, cuddly, volumptuous, fat. I use none of these terms in a degrogatory fashion and take non of them as an insult. I am what I am.

I'm not going to shout from the rooftops, 'I'm proud to be chunky!', but nor am I going to hide away and feel ashamed of myself or dirty in some fashion. Reasons people are overweight and what should be done about it are not for this post, nor is any debate as to whether I'm promoting obesity (I've had that one before- I'm not. I want you to be healthy and happy). This post and video is to say- If you are larger, for whatever reason, you can wear nice clothes. If you are unhappy with a part of your body, take comfort in the knowledge that a LOT of other people are too and it's not as big a deal as it feels in your head.

I would consider myself a glamourous person (and modest too haha), but I am fully aware of my flaws. I have a funny blue-ish lump on my inner calf of my left leg from where I was abused as a child, I have cellulite on my thighs from where I have eaten more calories than I burn, I have a wobbly tummy from where I grew an entire human being, I have tiny red dots on my upper arms (I think this may be an allergy thing), I have naturally rosey cheeks that often show through foundation. Saying all that though, I have a cinched in waist, great (in my opinion) boobies, fun hair, both my legs, both my arms and am able to do and dress as I please- a luxury many women are not afforded.

Let's set aside our body hangups for 5 minutes (literally in your head, put them in a bag and pop that bag outside) and think about what we do like. Now remember it. You're alright. It's only flesh and bones, it's not the end of your life. You are a beautiful woman.

What do you love to wear? Has this video/blog post been of any use to you? Tell me in the comments if you would like to see more of this kind of thing.

Plus Size OOTD | Beach Chic

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Well, I can't quite believe the response last week's Plus Size OOTD post received! I'm sure every blogger feels this way but I really truly think Sprinkle of Glitter readers are the very best. In case you missed it, you can see it HERE. To date 276 of you have left amazing comments and tens of thousands of you have read it, so, WOW. THANK YOU.

Since I had my camera/husband-man with me this weekend, I thought I would share another OOTD with you. I would love to make this a weekly feature but my most frequent companion is only 2 years old and not too great with a camera yet. We'll see how we go!

Outfit Round-Up

White 50's sunglasses :: River Island
Oversized navy tee :: ASOS Curve
Nude and rose gold jacket :: New Look
Long necklace :: Accessorize
Pink and lime scarf  :: Accessorize
Supersoft skinny jeans :: Dorothy Perkins
Bow and crystal sandals :: Miss Selfridge

I had worn this outfit all day. That included walking all round Liverpool city centre shops, looking round a kiddie museum, lugging a pushchair up three flights of stairs (yay for broken lifts, not), in 2 restaurants (it was a good day haha) and then for a baby free stroll along the beach when Darcy was with her grandparents. This outfit is DURABLE!

I would have liked to have taken up close shots of the sandals but just now my feet are not 'summer ready' so I have provided you a link (in the outfit round-up) and urge you to check them out. They are dreamy! I think £49.99 is pretty expensive for a pair of sandals but these are just so pretty and so, so, so comfortable that I don't mind at all. I feel like they add a lot to an outfit and make you feel extra glamorous. Perfect for when your outfit needs a little boost.

The scarf and necklace were naughty impulse purchases this weekend from Accessorize but I think they make the outfit really fun and I always feel more confident with a scarf to draw attention away from lumps and bumps I'm not keen on.

The oversized tee is a recent purchase from ASOS. I bought it in a size 20 so that it would be kind of tunic-like on me and when I take the jacket off it gives a one-shoulder top effect which I think looks comfy-slouchy-sexy (good description there). Also, if you are bigger like I am, a top that skims your bum and tum is always going to be a winner.

Overall I am in love with this outfit. Not great in too much heat but perfect for the British summer, where layering is key and perfect for gals on the go, where comfort is key!

Do you have any favourite pieces from this look? Is there anything you would add or change? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Plus Size OOTD | Midi Dress and Bow Belt

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

We have discussed it before but I am plus size. Fat, chubby, cuddly, bigger boned, call it what you like, the fact of the matter is I am a size 18 and feel relatively alright about this. As that lovable rouge Honey Boo Boo (google her) would say, 'I'm size CUTE' hahaha.

Lately I have been buying, wearing and LOVING midi length clothes. I find them to be so flattering and so comfortable (no worrying about thigh cellulite showing for me!) and also I find that I feel quite confident in them in a, 'I don't need to show off all my flesh to be sexy or attractive' way.

Navy Jersey Midi Dress - ASOS
Denim 3/4 Sleeves Jacket - Primark (last season)
Red Bow Belt - Primark
Gold Bobble Necklace - Accessorize
Coral Heels (Also worn HERE) - Newlook

I don't know about you but I find that I make so much more effort with my outfits in the Summer. In the Winter it seems to be just a matter of putting on as many clothes as possible but still being able to move, but now the warmer weather is upon us I feel like getting dressed is 'a thing'.

I absolutely love this outfit today. It can be dressy or casual and could take you from day to night (trust me, I've done it) and because the dress is cotton you feel like you are wearing jimjams! Also, since the dress (HERE) was only £25 and I have already had SO much wear out of it, I'm declaring it a bargain!

I wrote/photographed quite a few OOTD's last year so if you would like to take a looksie, here are some of my favourites ::

What key fashion pieces are you loving this summer? Where do you find most fruitful to shop?

Please do let me know in the comments but a polite request- Please don't just write 'Amazing Post!' and then leave your blog link. There are repeat offenders of this that just write that on everyone's blogs so they can spread their link about, without even reading the post and it's rude. I'm all for leaving your blog as your signature if you have written a proper, relative comment because it enables me (and others) to find you and you're being part of the community, but please don't just spam and go. It leaves a very bad taste and only reflects poorly on you. There, consider yourself told off and behave in future- thank you!! x

The Ted Baker Dress

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Every once in a while, you find something special. An article of clothing so magnificent that you can't bare to put it in your wardrobe and so lovely that every time you walk by you cant help but trace your fingers over the fabric.

Last month whilst we were shopping in Liverpool, Zoe and I spotted the new Ted Baker line and almost physically swooned.

Ted Baker Floral Dress | Sprinkle of Glitter

Ted Baker Floral Dress | Sprinkle of Glitter

Rather insanely, Zoe bought me one of the (crazy expensive!) dresses as my early birthday present. She is far, far too good. It was a little snug when I tried it on so it's a huge motivation to loose half a stone so I can look b-e-a-utiful in it. I think if I'd have bought it myself I wouldn't have felt so obliged but since someone else spent their pennies on me, it's a lot easier to choose soup over pizza!

Ted Baker Floral Dress | Sprinkle of Glitter

My aim is to wear this dress for our meet-up at PlayList Live in Florida, which is about 2 weeks away, so hopefully I will have a successful OOTD for you by then.

Ted Baker Floral Dress | Sprinkle of Glitter

Until then, I hope you enjoyed the sneak peaks. If you are tempted by this dress (and who wouldn't be?), mine was bought from John Lewis but weirdly, they don't seem to have it on their site. You can however buy it HERE, directly from Ted Baker. The sunglasses seemed to fit well with the 50's style dress and were bought from River Island a little while a go.

What do you think? The most amazing thing you've ever seen? Thought so ;)

River Island A/W Collection 2012

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

If you read/watch my OOTD's and hauls, you will know I am a big of a fan of River Island. I love that their clothes always fit nicely and swoon over the large handbags. Why oh why I didn't buy the mint green satchel bag in March I do not know....it still haunts me ahahaha.

When the lovely PR lady that works for them contacted me and asked if I would like to share a short video about what's coming up for the Autumn season (my all time favourite time of year), I said yes, yes, yes!

I was provided with some information about the new range too but knowing I would never be able to express it as well as this, I have quoted it below for you. Hurrah!

From the shadows of Futuristic Goth, the streets of Downtown New York and the opulent textures and fabrics of the Baroque era, River Island creates a lavish and distinctive look for autumn/winter 2012.
The collection encompasses a wide range of unique hero pieces reflecting this season’s trends with accessories remaining a focal point, fusing together all the elements necessary for the season ahead.

Think Downtown with its relaxed styling, with oversized swagger coats layered over geo printed and graphic intarsia knits. Baroque with its tough leathers and wet look fabrics and Futuristic Goth with it's  medieval inspired black velvet, delicate lace, sheer and chiffon pieces. With River Island Autumn Winter never looked so good!

 I'm so excited for all the Autumn fabrics and colours to hit the shops and for the weather to cool down a little (sorry if you're a summer baby haha!).

I also have a lorra lorra Autumn related posts lined up because I just go crazy for everything at this time of year so we have exciting times ahead!!

What do you look forward to in Autumn?

Curvy OOTD || Bright White

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I wore this outfit a little while ago to a friend's BBQ and was pleased as punch at how many people said I looked nice. I wanted to take some photos of it, but since the moon was coming out to play and the sun was going to bed, I had to use the flash, which I know isn't always idylic. Oh well, I can't control astronomy.

This white skirt was from ASOS and in the sale for under £10 which was brilliant. Sometimes ASOS can be a bit poopy in quality but this feels lovely, really sturdy if you will.

The vest was from H&M, the mint bag from Primark and the shoes from New Look. The cat was already there. Tehe.

I've always been a bit uncertain about wearing white because I have 'black is slimming' engraved in my brain, but really, white is doable. As long as you wear clothing that fits and flatters/suits your body shape, it is absolutely an option for you!

I'm not off to spend a few more pennies in the ASOS sale- oops!!

Curvy OOTD || High Waisted Summers

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I was in London last week for a party (oh my how swish do I sound?) but also for a few things during the day, so I had to find an outfit that could work for both sorts of occasions and let me tell you, it was a struggle! I wanted something comfortable, not too hot, not too cold, casual, dressy, with laser guns and matching utility belt. Ok, maybe not the last two, but you get the jist.

So here is what I opted for:

I'm afraid my patio isn't large enough for my camerman to take a full length shot and we don't live in a glam location, so this is the best I could get. If this aggrieves you immensely, I am open to offers of new larger houses ;).

Clothes

Denim Jacket :: Primark
Black Lace Camisole :: H&M
Floral High Waisted Skirt :: Dorothy Perkins (in last years sale for £3! Woop woop!)

Accessories

Faux Pearl Earrings :: Primark
Gold Glitter Belt :: New Look
Amber Ring :: 16th Birthday Present
Coral Scallop Heels :: New Look
Amber Bracelets :: Oasis

I also branched out an opted for a sixties side pony and orange lips. How retro of me!

I really enjoyed this outfit and have worn it a couple of times since, I think it will be a firm favourite!

If you would like to see what I got up to that day, I have embedded the vlog below. Look carefully and you may well see some familiar faces!

Do you ever find something that you love so much that you want to wear it every day?

OOTD || Girlie Cocktails

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

As I mentioned last week, I had Saturday and Sunday family free whilst Matt and Baby Glitter spent some time with family in Liverpool.

Naturally I made the most of this and arranged to paint the town pink with my chum Nicki and she kindly took some snaps of my outfit so I could show you all.

Pink Dress :: New Look
Mint Cardigan :: New Look
Black Studded Shoes :: New Look
Mint Handbag :: Primark
Moonstone Ring :: Primark
Charm Bracelet :: Accessorize
Gold Belt :: Next

I am absolutely in love with candy colours at the moment, so this pink and mint outfit made me feel great.

I will be doing a FOTD post soon so do keep your eyes peeled.

Are you enjoying the pastel trends?

OOTD || Foxy Blazer

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I'm not a 'fashion blogger'. I don't look hot in disco pants. I don't effortlessly throw together key pieces. I don't find clothing gems in vintage markets. Sometimes, I quite literally spend the day in an old baggy t-shirt that says 'Bride' and some comfy knicker-shorts.....but that's only when I'm trying to be extra sexy. Ha.

 (Do excuse my angry gonna-steal-your-dinner-money face, I was scowling at my camerman like the loving wife I am.)

Nude Blazer :: Primark £13
Black Vest :: H&M under £4
Navy Skinnies :: Newlook £12.99 on sale
Black PomPom Slingback Pumps :: Topshop £20
Fox Bag :: Ebay £5.99 (also comes in pink, mint and black)

On this particular day, I had decided to treat the wider public and put an actual outfit on. Unless of course you want a knickers and nightie OOTD? Haha! This was just a fairly simple look that I wore for a mooch round a shopping centre with Matt and Baby Glitter a couple of weeks ago. It's nothing special, but pretty representative of what I wear most regularly.

 Earrings :: Primark £2-3
Nails :: Impress £8.99

I adore this blazer. It's super lightweight so not too warm, you can through it over a vest top and feel a lot more covered and 'protected'. I don't have an issue with my arms, but sometimes a strappy top during the day feels a little naked. For many moons I shied away from blazers as I thought they would make me look boxy and androgynous, but alas, I was wrong. With the right cut, fabric and shade, they can make a harsh outfit look very gentle.

If you have read THIS post, you will know that I adore impress nails even more than I do the blazer!

The fox bag was a cheeky little ebay purchase a while back. I have since seen that Matalan are now stocking the exact same ones, but ebay is cheaper- woop woop, good old ebay wins again! I thought the bag added a touch of fun and whimsy to a fairly plain outfit.

So, not a polished, on-trend, cutting edge 'look', but that's what I wear of day and for normal life (as in not special occasions), is about as glam as I get!

What do you do to add whimsy to your OOTD's?

OOTD :: Rainy Summer

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

It was a toss up between a beauty or fashion post today and since I have some clothey photographs lurking around my laptop, I thought an OOTD would suit. Suit...clothes...get it? It's a laugh a minute round these parts.

Mummy Glitter
Coral Wrap Dress :: H&M (this season)
Blue Cotton Summer Scarf :: H&M (this season)
Grey Leggings :: Primark (last season, but I saw they still stock them)
Brown Boots :: Dorothy Perkins (last season)
Pale Demin Jacket :: Primark (last season)
Glass Earrings :: Miss Selfridge (many moons ago- this post explains the rather romantic story behind them).

Baby Glitter
Cream Beanie Hat :: Tesco
Ditzy Print Cotton Jacket :: John Lewis
Navy Leggings :: Sainsburys
White Shoes :: Boots
Oodles of energy :: Goodness knows where!!

This is an outfit I wore for the Jubilee Bank Holiday when we had Matt's parents come to stay. We took them to a country craft fair and for a lovely pub lunch, so all in all, it was a very British day indeed. Rather aptly, the weather celebrated too and in true form and we saw sunshine, grey clouds, heavy rain, spitting droplets ('that fine rain that soaks you right through') and gale force winds. Ahhh good old Blighty.

I really enjoyed this outfit because it was so layered. It felt like that by removing the jacket and/or scarf, I was changing the whole thing and I also know this dress works with bare legs and heels too. Ooooh I do love a bit of versatility!

As you may have noticed, I had tried to dress Baby Glitter and I in a jubilee-esque fashion and incorporated the red, white and blue into our outfits. I do love the royal family. I know they won't see us looking all patriotic but I enjoy to be swept along in the atmosphere of things. Can you believe she's almost walking? It truly doesn't feel that long ago that I was uploading my ultrasound pictures. Time is fleeting eh?

I took a few more snaps over the festive weekend, so perhaps I will share those with you in another post.

Do you have a staple piece that works with everything? Let us know so we can all be fashion goddesses!

Curvy OOTD :: Beige Spring

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I just asked on my twitter and my facebook page whether you would prefer an OOTD or a Beauty Review and I have to say, it was about 50/50. In the end, it tipped to OOTD and so here we are. I have been doing OOTD's since 2010 (two and a half years- wowzas!) and really think I should do more because I rather enjoy them.

These rather swish photos do need to be credited to my lovely chummy Zoe. She is such a camera wizz!

Beige and Pink Skull Scarf :: Primark
Beige Dress :: H&M
Leggings :: Evans about 3 years ago- what lasting power!
Pink Satin Heels :: Primark a looong time ago. I tried to hunt down some similar ones but the best I found were darker pink and with gems on the toes. Do you like THESE ? Do you think the model's foot looks a bit.....odd? Hahaha!

These earrings are super special. I wore them on my wedding day and I swear whenever I wear them I have good luck. My hair is in a bun a la Zoella and I kept my makeup feminine but fun.

The little brown clutch was originally from Accessorize but I picked it up at a charity swap party. Ever been to one of those? It's where everyone brings items they no longer love but are in good condition, you all mill around looking at what is available and then when the bell rings, it's a mad dash to snap up what you wanted! Usually there is a small entry fee which goes to the charity it's supporting and everyone has a great time!

Where are you favourite places to shop for daytime dresses?

Curvy OOTD :: Smart Orange

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

You know when you find a dress that you can dress up, dress down, wear to everything and make it work? This is one of them. I've styled it in a couple of ways, but today I'm feeling tres professional, so thought I would share the smarter look with you.

Orange Skater Dress - H&M. They also sell this in navy (or they did when I bought them about three months ago) and the cut of them is beyond flattering- whoever designed them needs a medal.

Black Cardigan - H&M. Fairly standard and something everywhere sells. I feel like I have about 40!

Gold Buttoned Leggings - Evans. Usually I think Evans stock nothing but paisley tents, but these leggings were a little gem and worth spending a bit more on because they haven't bobbled, thinned or snagged like their cheaper counterparts may have done.

Sparkly Black Belt - Next. This belt came in a set of two with a gold one and I love them both and wear them a great deal more than I anticipated to. Worth the £12.

Orange Scalloped Edge Shoes - NewLook. I bought these just after I had Darcy as a treat to myself and they have been a firm favourite ever since. They are heels but not stripper style high (although we all love a good stripper shoe here and there, non?), made of suede so fit like a dream and overall, add a touch of elegance. Even if I do say so myself. Which I do.

Snakeskin Black Clutch Bag - Next. I bought this some time ago but you can't swing a dead cat in Next without finding a black going out bag, so you'll be 'reet.

Black Ring - Borrowed (forever haha) from Zoechummy.

Green Glass Earrings - Miss Selfridge, SEVEN years ago. I had to include these and explain the story behind them. I call them my 'lucky' earrings, because they were bought when I was going through a phase when I could have done with some luck! It was the Summer of 2005 and I was sitting my end of year university exams. At the exact same time I had met a boy. I was completely infatuated and wanted to spend every waking (and sleeping- ooer) minute with him and I couldn't think of anything else at all. I wasn't sure that he felt the same way (he had said he didn't want a relationship) and I don't know how he got so under my skin but he did.

I was sat in one of my exams and it was twenty minutes in. I realised I hadn't studied nearly enough, knew none of the answers and wanted only to go and see the boy. In a moment of total madness, I got up, grabbed my bag and marched out of the exam hall. I went straight to the shops, on a whim, bought these green glass earrings and went to see the boy and tell him how I felt.

I failed the exam and resat it that summer.

I married the boy.

Turns out, they were lucky.

Wonderful Whirlwind

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I have quite a few posts lined up for you, but I felt I wanted a chatty type today. Also, Zoe took some great photographs when she stayed earlier this month for OOTD's and there were a few silly ones that I will scatter about for your amusement.

This last couple of weeks has been a whirlwind! Most importantly and excitingly, it has been Baby Glitter's very First Birthday. This was obviously really fun in terms of tutu's, tea parties and cake, but also it allowed me to take stock of the last year and really reflect on how I felt about the birth experience (not a great one, let me tell you) and how parenthood had enhanced our lives.

I've also been having a quite a Sprinkle of Glitter upgrade too. As your eyeballs can see, my blog has had a brilliant makeover from Wonder Forest and I couldn't be more thrilled. I have been tinkering with it for months now and finally feel that it is what I want it to be. I want Sprinkle of Glitter to be a place you can come, mooch about, read something interesting/relaxing/inspiring/amusing and leave feeling like your day has had a little mini happy in it. Also, I like typing, so it's smiles all round!

On the YouTube front, I now have a muuuuccchh better camera and look forward to filming my videos on those and having them be extra swish. Swish is a good word isn't it?

As you would expect with all these upgrades, pounds and pennies have been spent and so to help, I will be possibly putting a little more advertising on my blog. I wanted to tell you this in advance, so that you didn't feel Sprinkle of Glitter had become some sort of corporate sell out (as if!) and that you understood it was so our little family isn't hit too hard. Baby Glitter needs to be kept in good supply of bananas after all- I swear she would eat nothing but if I let her! Little monkey!

In other news, we are soon to be foster parents! No, pick your draw up off the floor, not to more mini humans, to cats!! A friend of mine is moving towns and whilst all to-ing and fro-ing is happening, her two kitties will be coming to stay with us. If they're not too camera shy, I'll take a couple of snaps to share with you.

What good things (or bad if you want to talk about them) have happened to you this last few weeks?

Toodlepip!

'Hello there Mr Butterfly, how nice of you to flutter by'

Aloha Bloggerinos,

A few days ago I was contacted by new and upcoming jewellery designer who asked if I would like to see some of her work. I had a look on her website, chatted to her about her inspirations and materials and felt it was something that you snazzy Bloggerinos would definitely be interested in.

Lucy of www.lucymaydesigns.co.uk has designed a whole host of items from bridal bodices to bracelets and hand makes them all using machine embroidery, swarovski crystals, glass beads and pearls.

Lucy takes her inspiration from looking at historic wedding garments and enjoys to base ideas on paisley patterns, bees, hearts and flowers.

I was kindly sent a butterfly hair clip that I think is very well made and a lot of time and talent has clearly gone into it. It's purple with a green iridescent shimmer and is adorned with purple sparkly threading detail, tiny black beads and gorgeous sequins. I also like that is has a bit of movement to it, in that the wire has been manipulated to make it a bit more 3D, rather than being flat as a pancake.

A very well crafted piece that I am glad to add to my collection and urge you to go and have a look at her WEBSITE, not just to see what pretty and unique pieces you could pick up, but also because I think it's great to support young British designers rather than always lining the pockets of bigger corporations (although I am guilty of this too! haha).

Have you had a look? What did you think?

Also, I have uploaded a new Curvy Girl OOTD on YouTube, which you can view HERE.

YouTube- Pregnant/Curvy Girl OOTD Casual + What's in my Hospital Bag

Aloha Bloggerinos,

Happy Valentines Day! Did you get something nice or are you anti smooshyness this year?

I have uploaded two YouTube Videos that I thought you might like to check out. One is a short Outfit Of The Day for a Casual look and the other is what I'm packing to take to the hospital in a few weeks for the delivery of Baby Glitter- oohh it's close!

Thank you to everyone who gave me ideas and inspiration for upcoming videos, it's always greatly appreciated and goes in my notebook :)

Come fly with me, come fly, let's fly away!

Aloha Bloggerinos,

Just a chatty post to keep you up to speed. I'm off on my jolly holidays today for a blissful week of sun, sand and ......tapas! (What did you think I was going to say?!). We are so excited because this holiday is going to be treated as our honeymoon. We were going to be honeymooning in the Easter 2011 break (Matt's a teacher) but then something has happened that will make that a little difficult so things have been sped up! Yay! So with that in mind I won't be blogging too much. I will be taking six million photos to share with you though- hurrah!

Also, a great big thank you to all of you who said such amazing things about my Curvy Girl OOTD : Swimwear post. That was the most nerve wracking thing I have done blogwise and I was so touched by your kindness, I really appreciate you.

Slushyness over, I need to get cracking on my packing!

Curvy Girl OOTD - SWIMWEAR!!! Gee Wizz!

Aloha Bloggerinos,

Well I have bitten the bullet and am going to bloomin' well do it!

I was feeling a bit unsure because in the last few weeks I have put on a few pounds. A LOT of you lovely Bloggerinos have been asking/guessing if I'm pregnant and if that is the secret. Well folks, I can neither confirm nor deny it at this stage and you will have to wait, ooohh about 4-5 weeks to find out. Sorrrryyyyy!!!

So basically I have taken a couple of snaps of my 2 swimsuit jobbies but will also be sharing my top tricks to use poolside!

To sum up my body shape and hang ups for you (with brutal honesty!) - I am a size 16 on top and 18 on bottom. I like my face, neck, boobies, legs below the knee and arms below the elbow. I don't like my tummy (bleaugh jellybellytastic!), thighs or upper arms. I'm pretty non-plussed about my bottom, it's sizeable but a decent shape so I don't loose too much sleep over it. So that's my body in a nutshell. I work very hard to dress my shape but when it comes to swimwear, the ante is upped! You are basically naked but for a few (and these are our saviours) props!

I have 2 sets of swimwear and find this is enough for my rare swimwear needs. My first is a pink floral tankini that I bought from Matalan about 4 years ago (I really don't wear beachwear that often!) and I was a bit lighter then as well! Oh well.

What I LOVE about this tankini is that is comes with a little separate skirt bit that you can pop on and feel a little more covered in. It's really short but it just gives that bum and upper thigh shield that I want and need! So prop number one- Frilly Skirt.
Illusion number one- The pattern on the tankini draws your eye to the colours and shapes, and not my fatty wobbly tummy bits. Score.
Illusion number two- Low cut boobiliscious neckline draws eyes to this area, rather than my thighs.

This is my other swimming cosie and I bought it from Debenhams last year. It claims to have 'tummy control' but lets face it, when you're a size 18, it's not going to make you look a size 10. It does sort of smoooooth out any lumps and bumps though I suppose.

I couldn't bring myself to give you a full body shot as there is not thigh cover and I felt a little naked.

Illusion number three- Pattern again (I tool a close up of the pattern because I think it's really funky)
Illusion number four- The neckline is strapless. Little spaghetti thin straps on chunky arms will only make your arms appear larger, go for thick straps or no straps.

(Ze Pattern!)

This is another of my props. BIIIIGGGG Beachbag (Monsoon/Accessorize) can be positioned to make you feel a bit less nudeytudey.
So Prop Two- Huge Bag. The bigger the bag, the smaller you will look, the smaller the bag, the bigger you will look (I think anyway).

Other props I like:

Sarongs- Always wear them diagonally for a more slimming look across the legs, it creates an elongating effect rather than a chopping off effect.
Nice flipflops- When feeling a bit self conscious, you may as well have pretty footwear.
Big Hair- I try to wear my hair as volumised as possible so that it balances my figure out and I don't get the old pea-head-big-body effect. Can be tricky if hair gets wet but give it a whirl.
Tan- An all over tan will do wonders in making you seem slimmer

CONFIDENCE- You're not going to loose three stone in 2 days so look at yourself and say "I am curvy and I am lovely and I will be proud of myself for who and what I am" and go and have HOLIDAY FUNNN!!!

I hope these have helped. They are just my personal tips and nothing overly special. Do you have any good tips?
