It was really fun to have a little splurge on eBay, do you remember when I got really obsessed with THIS STUDDED BAG from there? I still use and love it!! Oh, and Hollie is still loving THIS GIANT PALETTE I bought her.

Beauty Bargain Alert

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I've actually already blogged today (scroll down why dontchya) but I wanted to give you another quickie- ooer.

cheap blusher palette

I bought this palette a few weeks ago from ebay as a treat for my new Step Sister Hollie and now that she has opened it, I managed to take a quick snap.

This is a ten piece blusher palette and Hollie is thrilled. She hasn't used it yet so I'm not ready to comment on it's quality but based purely on price (£3.49 inc p&p), looks and size (big but slim), it seems like a total winner.

I think this is ideal if you are looking to have all your blushers in one place or if you are starting out and building up your collection, like my little sister is.

This isn't a review, but me letting you know about affordable beauty products that might tickle your pickle. Tickled pickles are what we're all about round here. Ew, that sounds really wrong!

If you would like to check this beauty bargain out for yourself, click HERE

January Wish List || Nails

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

With the festive season safely tucked up in bed and a big family holiday to save up for this year, I'm trying very hard to curb my spending. It's boring I tell you!

In a bid to quench my beauty thirst, I have created this visual wish list of nail products I'd love to own.

All the products in the collage can be found on BeautyBay, accept from the Dotting Tools from eBay, which I accidentally just placed a bid on. In fairness, they were only £1.38!

I flip flop between pastels and neons like nobodies business. For months I'll be obsessed with mints, pinks, peaches and greys and then all of a sudden, out of the blue, I'm enchanted with anything luminous. My nails are terribly fickle.

What nail colours and products are you utterly obsessed with at the moment? Do you ever go bare?

Creative Christmas Wrapping

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

If you follow me on YouTube then this might not be news to you but I know some of you are strictly the reading sort, so I'm sharing here too. Sharing's caring after all!

I recently made a couple of videos about Christmas wrapping - things I used, styles I make, bits and bobs I like etc. I was really pleased at how well they were received and have been having a lorra lorra messages asking where certain things were bought from.

A great deal of my wrapping products were either pieces I had floating about already or from Marks and Spencer. I must say, I bought from M&S because I was there and I was in a rush. It definitely was not the most purse friendly option!!

I decided it might be a good idea to source some wrapping essentials and luxuries for you and for most of this, I turned to my old pal, ebay! Ebay is a treasure trove of everything you could ever need to make your gifts beautiful this year.

Christmas Craft Supplies :

Christmas Double Satin Ribbon for 99p to wrap round your paper.

You could attach some of these little Silver Jingle Bells (£2.30 for 70) to your ribbon to add a bit of festive glamour.

Making pompoms like I did? This seller has balls of every colour (tehe) for only £1.49.

Lace (99p) is perfect for little girls or ladies gifts.

If you want to add something a little cute, why not try this Mini Reindeer Stamp Cutter for £2.25?

And of course, SELLOTAPE and Rainbow Star Confetti!

--------------------------------------------

I hope this post was helpful to those of you who have asked or for you crafty Sprinklerinos that are going all out this holiday season!

If you are on Pinterest and have a Christmas board like mine, feel free to use the image below to pin. Pinning is winning! Haha! Feel free to leave your Pinterest name in the comments so that we can all follow each other too.

If you would like more of these 'Source my supplies' style posts, let me know!

Crayola Weekends

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

You may have noticed that I have been updating this here slice of the net a little less often than I'm accustomed to. I just thought I would say, 'Oh Haaii there Miss Noticer! You are right, I have been and I'm sorry'.

Life has been getting a little in the way of my tiptapping on this blog. Life is good.

This weekend was perfect.

There was nothing particularly groundbreaking about it, but to me, it was blissful. Since I loved it and I love you, I thought I'd share it with you. Is that alright?

This weekend was one of those perfect sunny weekends where nobody has made any plans and yet all the loose ends of activities tie together beautifully and it all turns into one giant hotpot of joyousness.

The highlight of my weekend had to be Saturday. We arranged to meet up with our lovely newlywed chums Mark and Clare in the afternoon for a mooch round Toyrs R Us and then a quick coffee in Starbucks. Nothing major. No big deal.

How wrong I was. SO MUCH FUN. We spent an eternity in the giant toy store delighting over childhood memories, laughing over Baby Glitter loving the sit-in toy cars and getting crazy excited for things that wizz and ding. I ended up buying Baby Glitter some crayola crayons (THIS set to be exact) and a colouring book and off we trotted to Starbucks next door.

In Starbucks we met up with Clare's chum and her Daughter who was possibly the cutest two year old I have ever seen and set to work with the important business of panini eating and chocolate creme frapoccino drinking. It turns out that those crayons went down as well with the adults as they did the tots! I had honestly forgotten how much I love colouring in and we sat happily for about an hour being artists (or in Mark's case, seeing how many he could stand up before Emily or Darcy knocked them over). It was just lovely. About half way through, I sat back and thought about all the times when I was pregnant that I had imagined the things I would do with Matt and our Daughter. All the little merry memories I would make for her and the special moments we would all cherish and thought, 'Yes, this is one of them'.

The memories I have with my own Mother are like precious gem stones kept in a jewellery box in my mind and it is my aim and pleasure to create as many as these for Baby Glitter as I can, so that her memory box of gems is overflowing and she can enjoy it well into her adulthood. Granted she won't remember the things we do now but I take a lot of photographs and I like to think she'll see the weekend Mummy wore red lipstick, Daddy bought her a special babycinno drink and we all coloured in for hours, and smile at how loved she is.

Amazing moments don't have to be seeing shooting stars or swimming with sharks (although those are nice too), they can be the time you spend with really good friends, colouring in with your children, mooching round toy shops, picking out potential Christmas presents and discussing why you love crayons so very, very much.

Watching Baby Glitter hold a teeny expresso cup of babyccino (it's free and is warm milk with froth- yum), standing in her darling clarks shoes and colouring her book just made me melt a little bit. If I could spend all my weekends doing that, I would.

What makes your favourite weekend?

Toodlepip!

xx

PS

Since Saturday I have become a crayola enthusiast! No other brand is as lovely (believe me, we've sampled a fair few) and no other brand has such a colour array. We bought a pack of 24 and with Baby Glitter beginning to walk (and standing on them) or bum shuffling over them, there have been about 6 waxy casualties. I'm considering buying THIS big set of 288 because I know they'll last forever and I'm far to excited for all the different colours. Also, it wouldn't be right for our house to not have a set of glittery crayolas in it, would it? Haha xx

Treasure

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Ooohhhhh I love a little rummage through ebay. I'm not really one for second hand things (I don't mind charity shops because I can really get a feel for the item) so tend to stick to new products on there, and these are plentiful!

This week's (not sure if I will make this a regular feature or a once in a while thing) ebay treasure is Silver Moon. This is a little eshop full of cutesie shabby chic bits and pieces to make your house feel like a home.

I love all the cute storage items and candle holders, not to mention the love blocks!! Squeee!!

Are you an ebay fan? If you would like to run this feature on your own blog, do feel free to use my image but please do link it back to this blog.

What's the best thing you have ever bought from ebay?

Online Treats

Aloha Sprinkerinos,

Remember that spending ban I was on? No? Nor do I.

I'm not usually one for internet shopping. I prefer to actually have the experience of being in the store, touching the products, mooching around etc, but a couple of weeks ago (before my busy stint), I ran away with myself...and my debit card. Woops.

I've made a video of the haul which I will link as soon as it's live, but for now, here's a little teaser.

This nifty storage case is actually a shoe organiser but I have used it as a toy tidy. I love that I can see what's where and it's safe for Baby Glitter to drag about. It was only £3.99 and there is a buy 2 get 1 free offer, so if you have a lot of shoes/toys/anything at all you want to store away, it's a winner! You can find it HERE.

I plan on doing a few OOTD's with these ASOS pieces. I have worn the white eyelet skirt and pink highwaisted SO much since buying them so in my eyes, they're an investment!

I also bought some Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Cleansers because I had run out, tried to kid myself that other products were as good and then came to my senses and reordered.

I talked about the bunting bracelet in a post of it's own HERE, but in a nutshell, it's the cutest little thing and was only £2.39. Click on the pink for the link! (So poetic. Tehe).

The word art was sent to me from the tres creative Maisy Moo. All you do is choose your shape and colour scheme, give them the words you would like incorporated and wait for it to land on your doorstep- fabulous!! We love ours and think it adds a great little touch to Baby Glitter's bedroom.

Ok, I know, they're just straws. But loooookkk!! They are paper (don't worry, they don't go squooshy in your drink), pastel coloured and if you have an obsession with pinterest or American lifestyle blogs (Carosello, A Beautiful Mess etc) then you will understand why I needed them in my life. I bought them from THIS British seller. I also gave them a sneaky little feature in THIS post.

Well, that's it. A bit of an eclectic haul and as soon as the video is live, I will embed it on this blog post too. Keeping things nice and tidy :)

Do any of these bits and bobs float your boat?

Shabby Chic Summer Treats

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Give me a wooden dresser and I'll sand and distress it, give me a pretty glass plate and I'll fill it with candles, drop me off at a craft fair and I'm in heaven. I am a through and through shabby chic addict.

I adore 'prettying' things up and just taking ordinary objects and making them quaint. You might call it twee, but it floats my boat and lights my fire. Oh yeah.

I thought I would share a cute little idea with you that I have been doing a lot lately. Also, it's free- what more could you want?

On summer patio evenings, rather than drinking out of regular glasses, I have been saving little glass jars from jams and sauces, thoroughly washing them, adding cute straws (I bought mine HERE), fruity cocktail sticks, ice and voila!

It's not a big deal, but it's fun, free and makes us smile. These are also great if you have little ones coming over as they seem to think it very novel indeed to have a drink out of a jam jar. I'm totally with them on that one, haha.

Does this little idea tickle your pickle?

Bargain Bunting Bracelet

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I don't know about you, but I find great satisfaction in buying something I love. However, I find even greater satisfaction in buying something I love that is also a total and utter snip!

Bunting Bracelet

This bargain bracelet was from ebay and I bloomin' well love it! I have been wearing it a lot this summer and since I have had so many people ask me where it's from and then be shocked when I said, 'Ebay for £2.39 with free postage', I thought I'd show it off on here.

It is quite literally 'cheap as chips' but I doesn't feel tacky. It's metal with an enamel type coating on the bunting triangles and has a nice weighty feel to it.

Since it was so affordable, I actually ordered a few more to use as stocking fillers (yes, I'm spreading the cost and will feel oh-so-smug come December) this Christmas.

If you have read this blog from the start and seen my many and various DIY and craft projects, you'll know I'm a big lover of bunting, so this is right up my street!!

What do you think? A good deal indeed?

LOTD || Ebay #2

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Today's LOTD challenge is to find a fun/affordable/crazy/brilliant item on ebay and share it with us. I'm a big ebay fan and have spent many a paypal penny (paypal feels like pretend money and so the guilt is less hahaha) on there. I know a lot of other bloggers who heart it as much as me, so hopefully Thursday will be a fun day all round.

Thursday will always be : Ebay.

This week I have ummed and arred about what to pick as I have been lusting after quite a few things lately, but decided to go for something particularly British Summer appropriate! This gorgeous giraffe print scarf would be perfect for wrapping round you in cooler evenings or sudden downpours, but is also light enough to drape over shoulders on warmer days. I think I love it best in navy, but stone comes in a close second. I do love a good scarf. I don't know why but they make me feel just a bit more shielded and less vulnerable. Is that weird? Probably!

If you would like to join in, simply copy and paste the image above (please link this blog with it), find your favourite ebay item of the day and share it with the world. Feel free to let us know in the comments if you have done this and we can all mooch about together!

Are you a scarf person? Where do you buy yours from?

Affordable Fairy Lights

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

If you have ever watched any of my older videos, when I was recording in my boudoir, you will know that I am a HUGE fan of fairy lights. We have them in our room, Baby Glitter's room, the hallway and the lounge all year round. Come Christmas time and the house is lit up better than ... well, a very well lit thing!

Whilst I was mooching round pinterest I found some gorgeous floral fairy lights but the shop that sold them was out of stock- booo.

Never one to give up, I turned to my faithful friend, ebay. I found these gooorrgeous rose fairy lights for £6.99. They are 3 metres long so you'll get a good length (minds out of gutters please) and they come in 6 glowy colours. I can't tell you how much these kind of things excite me.

When Baby Glitter grows out of her cot (thinking ahead a bit I know) I'm planning on making that little corner of the room a reading nook with cushions, blankets and twinkle lights. For now though, I have bought some to drape round her book shelves.

To me, there is something really magical about fairy lights. They can add the finishing touch to any room

What do you think? Are you fanatical for fairy lights?

Budget Bling

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Remember those days, before I made a small human in my tummy, before the little thing came out and started to pull on every shiny thing she saw- earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc? They were good times. I wore so many beautiful accessories. Nowadays, I stick to studs and my wedding/engagement ring because I value my earlobes so much.

Today I had a little sort out and fell back in love with all my chunky cocktails rings. Ahhh, I missed you old friends.

Rings can be so affordable and to me, really finish off an outfit. I used to work in an office and I loved wearing a bit of finger bling and watching it twinkle all day as I typed.

With the current trend of TRIANGLES in mind, I went cheapy ring hunting. Has anyone else noticed that everyone has gone gaga for that little three sided shape?!

(Image: Ebay, seller linked below -geo gloating ring)

This  Geo Floating Triangle Ring is a snip at £4.50 and something I have never seen before (check out the sellers other images to see how it's worn, it's quite clever) and comes in 3 colours- yay for choice! (Hmm, not sure why the link won't go pink. Gr!)

Oooooohhhhhh this Jewelled Triangle Bling Ring is JAZZY. Seriously, if you like sparkly, coloured, big things, you'll like this. At only £4.99, I'm buying!

If you're being ultra swish and combining triangles AND aztec, you'll lurve this Silver Aztec Engraved Triangle Ring for £3.99.

Last but not least, this Vintagey Cat Ear Ring THRILLS me! I know it isn't technically a triangle things, but the ears are pointy- does that count? Haha. Also, for £1.10 inc. P&P it's the best BARGAIN ever! Thrifty would be so proud of me!!

So there you have it, a ring for every finger (but not thumb, I'm not sure where I stand on thumbrings- you?) and all under £5. You can't argue with those digits! Ahahahaha I crack myself up! Tehehe.

Are you an affordable accessories kinda gal? Or are you in a love triangle with pricey jewels (oh me oh my I'm on fire today with these puns).

Brilliant Bargains :: Quilted Bags

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

A little while ago, I posted a picture on Instagram (Sprinkleofglitr) of Baby Glitter playing with my pink quilted handbag. Lots of you asked where it was from and if it was Chanel and said you would like one too. Well, the first disappointment is that I don't think it's Chanel -if it was, Darcy wouldn't be wiping her sticky paws all over it- and the second disappointment is that I'm unsure where it was from because Father Christmas gave it to me.

On the upside, there is an amazing website in this world, that sells literally, EVERYTHING. Yes my chums, it is ebay. Oh bay of e, how I adore thee.

I had a little looksie for you (and as part of my mini goals last week to hunt down some bargains) and this is what I found:

These QUILTED BAGS come in pink, cream and pink. I love them all!!

I luurrvee THESE! The colours are perfect for Spring/Summer and I'm pretty smitten with the metal plated flaps. (Ooerr!!)

Last but not least, I love the dark pink colour of THIS slightly larger quilted bag and think the tassle is a lovely finishing touch.

I do love a quilted bag or two. What's your bag of choice for this season? Have you found any ebay bag bargains? Feel free to leave your links below!

Ebay Hearts :: Easy Summer Accessories

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

It's the middle of the night, I can't sleep and I'm on the internet. What am I going to do? Window shop obviously! I decided to take this one step further and make a little (errrmm, it turned out quite big in the end haha) blog post on some lustful accessories.

I love, love, love accessorising because you can change and entire outfit with just a few pieces and accessories don't care if you are big, little, short or tall. Everyone can accessorise. Hurrah huzzah!!!

(If ever there was going to be a scarf picture, I knew it would be this one- this is my Little Sister (Lister) Tiyana. Before you all look a bit confused as to why we look nothing alike- same Father, different Mother's. She's such a cutie isn't she?!)

We all know my slightly unhinged love of cats (seriously, I love Mindy as much as I love Baby Glitter), so it should come as no surprise that the first thing I am lusting after is this amazing cat scarf.

On the theme of animals, I found this very chic zebra scarf zebra scarf too!

My friend Mrs Thrfity recently featured this bunny scarf  on her blog and I fell in love with it. If you're not already following A Thrifty Mrs please do. Not only is her blog a treasure trove of helpful tips, top finds and witty writings, she actually is the coolest of ladies and makes me smile numerous times a day. I'm a little addicted to her actually. Woopsie!

Or, if you have a bit more pocket money to splash, have a look at this gorgeous Diane von Furstenberg. The mini pom poms make me swoon a little bit.

Tumblr_m28opjuow81r7769mo1_500_large
(Image: weheartit.com I couldn't resist the technicolourness. New word right there)

Summer is -hopefully- on it's way and it'll be well and truly sandal season, so treat your tootsies to something new. I love these:

Nude Jelly Bow Flip Flops HERE

Or if you like a little bit of sparkle, you might like THESE. I like the turquoise ones best.

And for the luxury flop of flips, THIS Dolce Vita black and gold flat might float your boat.

(Image: weheartit.com)

Can you guess where I went next? Does the wacking great image above give me away? Tehe.

I love the shape of these cat eye sunglasses. Also, they do them in pink, tortoise shell and cream- lust lust lust!

Ooohhhh looooook, these retro sunnies come in a rainbow of different colours. A gal's gotta have options!

I also really enjoy these vintage style sunglasses from the Look of New.....I'm not cool, I just mean 'NewLook'. Haha.

Oohhhhh I really did enjoy that. I feel totally in the mood for summer evenings outside with chums or in the park with Baby Glitter and Mattmoo.

What is your top Spring/Summer accessory? If you find any good bargains please do link them below, I'd love to see what you find.

Fox Bags- Feeling Foxy?

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Yeeaahhh, my title was a bit lame, but I couldn't resist! Haha.

A little while ago, whilst on the hunt for more woodland creature things (I have a bit of an obsession with birds, rabbits, deer and now foxes), I stumbled across the funnest, coolest, cutest little handbags you ever did see. FOX BAGS!

(Excuse the stock photos -although I did put them into a collage for you myself haha-, they are from the ebay shop I bought my bags from. I have a video review of the bags coming soony soon!)

THESE sweet little animal bags were a snip at £11.81 (inc. P&P) and so I went a bit gaga and bought 4! I bought 2 of the orangey ones as birthday gifts and kept the brown and pink one for myself! I actually half wish I had ordered a black one too, but thought that would be excessive!

The come with a detachable handle so you can wear it as an over the shoulder satchel style bag, or as a kwirky clutch. They're not real leather, but feel very soft and have a slight texture to them, and for £11.81 all in, I can cope.

You can fit a surprising amount in them and they hold their shape nicely too.

In a nutshell, I love them! They are right up my alley in terms of girly and fun-ness, and thought you would all love them as much as me! To be clear, I haven't been sent these for free or anything of that ilk, I'm just a very happy customer who wanted to share the love.

Are you feeling foxy? Couldn't resist- sorry ;)

Miniture Celebrations

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Despite having lots of 'proper' posts to be getting on with, I felt like just having a natter with you and filling you in on some of my latest mini happies.

(Yes, that's Baby Glitter on a giant tap in her new and slightly too big snow suit. As you do)

Today I was walking to the bank (more on this later) and I was thinking about all the good things that have happened recently and so I have decided to share them with you because we all need a bit of positivity on these gloomy January days. I know I do.

♥ Although I haven't managed 30 minutes exercise a day, this morning I put on my pre pregnancy jeans and DID UP THE BUTTON! This is a bit of a break through for me and my tum!

♥ I've been on 3 good walks this year to 3 different parks. That's not bad going in my books. If I had to rate them I'd give Sywell Country Park 9/10 (really cool kiddie sand park with diggers, water activities, fun slides, giant ornaments like fish/birds/taps, climbing wall, butterfly garden, reservoir, ducks, loooaadds), Abington Park 8/10 (fun children's park with all the usual apparatus, avery, bandstand, little cafe, tennis courts, duck ponds galore and lots of open space) and The Race Course 3/10 (not much there, kiddie park was vandalised, scary looking 'characters' about). I don't know why I just gave little reviews, but I did! I hate walking, but it seems a lot less arduous if it's somewhere enjoyable. Also, it leads to less wobbly bits and that's my goal.

♥ Finally, after a year and a half of repayments, I have paid off my stinking overdraft. Take that bank! Now everything in there is mine, mine, MINE! It's a huge weight off my shoulders and I'm going to promise myself not to get into such a pickle again. Now to work on the mortgage...

♥ This blog tipped over the 5,000 follower mark last night and I couldn't be more thrilled! I feel like that is a crazy amount to have grown in one year (it was around 1,000 last January) and I hope it continues to blossom and share it's sparkle with the world. Thank you every single Sprinklerino who has hit that little 'join this site button'. I loves ya.

♥ I have been longlisted for the Marie Claire Beauty Blog Awards. Wow! I NEVER get long listed/short listed/anything listed for things so this has come as a huge surprise and excitement to me! To be honest, I'm happy enough to just be on the long list, but if you would like to see Sprinkle of Glitter on the short list (issued 20th Jan), then please to click HERE and select 'Sprinkle of Glitter' from the drop down. Muchos Thankos!

~~~~
As I said above, I have a tonne of 'proper' posts to write, like Amazing Advertisers, reviews on Jolie Box, Carmine, Glossy Box for Men and Lush, Baby Glitter's latest update, Ebay Hearts and a Home Corners of my lounge. Any requests on ones you'd like to see first?
What little things are you celebrating today?
Perfectly Polaroid
Aloha Sprinklerinos,
Nowadays, with the likes of photoshop, piknic, photobox and iPhone apps, we can all be budding photographers working our techy magic and creating amazing images at the drop of a hat. We can make snazzy photobooks, airbrush pimples or order giant colour canvass prints from groupon (or was that just me?). But what I treasure the most from all of my photography thingymabobs, are the little polaroid pictures that line my mantle piece. Tiny glimpses of memories on miniature bits of card really seem to float my boat.
After yearning for a polaroid camera for about nine hundred years, I started mooching around on my beloved ebay and thought I would share some of my findings with you, in case like me, you love all things polaroid too.
Tumblr_lx6malhs0t1qzjelio1_500_large
(weheartit.com)
THIS SHOP is a virtual treasure trove of polaroid and other vintage cameras. At first I was going to just give you the Black Rainbow Camera link, but when I saw what else the shop had to offer, I thought I best just include the lot!
If you wanted to take a more modern approach, THIS little package looks super! You get a Fuji Instant Instax Mini 7S Polaroid Camera, plus the film, plus a snazzy case. Also, it's pink. What more could you want?
Or, if you were feeling really modern, THIS is a teeny weeny printer which you can attach to your camera and instantly print out polaroid-esque shots. Again, it's pink and not that pricey, so all my boxes are ticked!
I have a bit of money in my paypal account that I suspect is burning a polaroid shaped hole. Ebay, here I come!
What about you? Do instant snaps light your fire?
Ebay Hearts :: Organising Jewellery
Aloha Sprinklerinos,
Since last weeks 'Ebay Hearts' feature was so well liked, I decided to make it a regular thing- Yippee!
This week I have lusted over charming, shabby chic ways to display, organise and store jewellery.
I love jewellery. I don't have a tonne of expensive jewels, I'm more of a cheap 'n' cheerful kinda gal. If it twinkles I'm happy. I often think it's a shame to stash everything away in drawers and boxes and love to display my favourite bits and bobs, so that I can enjoy them everyday and add a touch of glamour to my dresser. Of course, there are the few pieces that you don't want out and about, and for those I have a solution too!
All pictures are taken from www.ebay.co.uk.
THIS JEWELLERY HOLDER is multifunctional and super girlie. You could pop your studs in the mesh parts and hang your dangly earrings on the little hooks. I would also end up draping bracelets over the swirly wires at the top too. I love that this has little hinges, so that if you fancy changing things up a bit, you can fold it, pop it in a drawer and not begrudge it taking up all you space.
THESE LITTLE BASKETS are super duper sweet. They are the kind of things that I would have on my dresser with my jewellery with the best of intentions of keeping organised, but would end up chucking all my trinkets in. I don't know about you but I have all sorts in my jewellery box- a memory stick with my wedding photos, floral badges, bag charms, coins (why?), Baby Glitter's hospital wrist band and more. These little wire jobbies are pretty enough to scatter around your room to collect all those lovely little bits of life. Failing that, candle holder anyone?
Is this the cutest RING STAND you have ever seen? You all know my obsession with birds, so this definitely floats my boat.
If you look carefully you will see that it is actually a teeny tiny bird pond with itsybitsy birds sat round it, probably chatting about how pretty your jewels are. I'd scatter my sparkliest cocktail rings in there and struggle to choose which to wear.
Finally, this MIRRORED DRAWER SET is very similar to one I currently have and I must say, I loves it! It's great to display all your most pretty of things, but those heavily bejewelled butterfly dangly hoops that you think you ought not to have bought? Store them in here and nobody ever need know your secret love for them. Tehe.
I do hope you liked my ideas to organise your jewellery. I might do another one at some point with less girlie options (think muji acrylic drawers etc), but I figured that since these are all the things I really love myself, you might enjoy them too!
How do you store your pretties? Do you have any requests for next week's Ebay Hearts?
Toodlepip!
A Sorting Saturday
Aloha Sprinklerinos,
Baby Glitter is rolling around at my feet (on a blanket with toys I might add, she's not just been slung down there and ignored! haha), Mattmoo is watching Sky Sports News (gad zukes I hate that channel) and I'm pootling around on t'internet.
I know I've already blogged today, but I haven't filmed or uploaded any videos because of this horrid fluey thing, so I'm feeling blogtastic.
What's happened today then?
*I lugged all the junk out of our cupboard under the stairs and we (by 'we', I mean 'Matt whilst I pointed at stuff and tried to look busy') moved it all to the garage, where I can forget it exists and not deal with it at all. The aim was to then put other, more relevant junk -hoover, pram, ironing board, the obligatory bucket that every household has and wonders why etc- under there. Now our dining room is less full of junk. Essentially, it was all just a big exercise in moving junk from different places and feeling better for it.
*We took a few bits to the local tip, where we were met with the most helpful (please sense the sarcasm there) man ever.
Matt drives up. Tip man signals at us to stop and wind window down.
Matt- Looks questioningly at Tip Man.
Tip Man- Stares back.
Matt- Umm...I want to chuck out a big rug and an old tent.
Long weird pause.
Tip Man- One 'n' Two.
Matt- ...........thanks then.
*Despite Matt saying he hates Hobbycraft, I made him come in with me on the premise that I'm poorly and deserve to be mollycoddled. I bloomin' love that place. I actually only wanted to buy some star shaped cookie cutters, but got a bit carried away in the bead department. Woopsie.
Is it weird that I spent quite a lot of time swilling my hand around this bowl of beads? I like to do that with chestnuts in supermarkets as well......like a normal person.
*We accidentally bought a McDonalds, parked up near a nice grassy area and housing estate that we love. We play this game where we look at the street of houses (not in a pervy casing the joint way, in a nice way) and say that when we win the lottery we'll buy the whole row and put all our friends and family in them and decide which houses each person will get and why.
*We came home, gave Baby Glitter her lunch, let her have some story time and I tweeted, fb chatted, did a bit of blog research, answered emails and texted back a few people. Technology attack!
* Whilst mooching around (I do love it when Matt's at home, I can mooch mooch mooch) my online favs, weheartit, etsy, ebay and folky, I came across a tres cool ebay shop. I wanted to include it in my Ebay Hearts post, but I really cannot wait, and to be fair, it doesn't really suit the theme I'll be going for.
Beauty Makeup Supply Jars & Bottles
THIS SHOP is a beauty addicts dream! It sells EVERYTHING storagey (real word there) and oragnisey that you would ever need. It has jars, tubs and atomisers to decant products into- perfect if you like mixing products or travelling. It has mascara wands, powder puffs, foam wedges and sponge applicators- perfect if you are a makeup artist or your friends use you as one (like mine, hmmm). It even has a 3 tier 24 slot acrylic lipstick holder (HERE) which I'm seriously considering.
I hate to sound so thrilled about jars and organisers but things like that really float my boat. I've had so many requests for a makeup collection video but really desperadosly need to sort my cosmetics drawers out before I unveil them to the world!
*Hmmm since starting this post, Baby Glitter has had her dinner and gone to bed and Mindy is attempting to sit on my shoulder. Looking forward to a cheesy omelet, Saturday night TV and uploading this week's London photos. And do you know what, I'm not in the least bit ashamed that 5 years ago I was probably drinking cheapo vodka, straightening my hair and setting off on a crazy adventure with my friends and now I'm snuggled up with a blanket, the cat and my laptop...........well, not much anyway.
What have you done today? Do you love that shop as much as I do? Am I a fruitloop? Don't answer that last one!
Toodlepip!
All pictures aside from the ebay store one wear taken on Matt's phone. Hope you can actually see them now, after that slight technical hitch!
Ebay Hearts :: Doctor Style Bags
Aloha Sprinklerinos,
I've mentioned it a few times, but of late, I have stepped over to the dark side. The easy payments, convenient packages-through-your-door, crazy good value side. Yes Sprinklerinos, I'm in love with ebay.
I have wanted for some time now, to do a post on some things I am lusting over and perhaps make a bit of a feature of it. However, I have been in two minds about this due to a spot of blog etiquette.
My chum Victoria (who I lovingly call Vixypops) from VIPXO is an ebay queen and currently has a fantastic ebay feature running on her blog. Each week (sometimes more if we are lucky) she hunts down designer inspired items, works her photoshop magic and displays them beautifully for us to gawp at and maybe do a spot of shopping. Whilst our features are not the same, I still wouldn't want Vixypops to think I am stealing or taking attention away from her (far better) thang. So Sprinklerinos, do please hop on over to her blog and see what she has going on, I promise you'll like it. Also, if you ask her nicely on her tumblr account, she will hunt down anything you want, free of charge- what a wizz!!
I hope that kind of clears my worries up a bit. I know lots of people do similar things on blogs but I don't like to feel like a copycat!
With that aside, on with my love of ebay! Like etsy and weheartit, I have taken to putting anything that pops into my glittery mind into the search bar and seeing what comes up.
This week I searched for Doctor Style bags. I think they are the right mix of fun and formal and look lovely with with winter coats.
Here are some of my top picks:
I love love love the ostrich effect of this brown beauty. I also love the £16.49 price tag and that fact that it comes in 6 different colours. Yay! You can find it HERE.
This leather beauty is faaaarrrrr too far out of my budget, but says, "put your jimjams in me and escape for the weekend". You can drool over it HERE.
Dr Bag + Clutch = These cuties!! I think these would look super on an evening out or popped under your arm for a day time meeting...hmmm how many daytime meetings do I have? Oh wait, none! Haha! They are a reasonable £10.99 and available HERE.
I could go on and on for hours about my love for ebay (and etsy, and folky, and weheartit and...the list goes on!). Would you mind if I made this a regular feature? Have you checked out the wonderful Victoria's blog?
