Pin Me Happy | Interactive

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Do you ever have those days where all you can see in the world is the rubbish, negative and bad? I very rarely do because I try incredibly hard to keep my attitude positive, but a couple of times this last fortnight I've had little down moments. Nothing serious, just like we all do.

In those moments I turn to all the things that make me happy, like Baby Glitter, Matt, Downton Abbey, seeing and making new chums and if it's late at night....Pinterest!

More often than not I will find a fabulous piece of typography that puts it all into perspective and really lifts me. After thinking about this for a little while, I thought it might be fun if I shared some of my favourites with you and if you have a blog and fancied doing the same, then you are more than welcome to- it's interactive.

Please feel free to use this picture (photographed and edited by moi) in your post to explain the game, but do link it back here as it's credit.

Some pins that have cheered my soul and soothed my sorrows are:

It's like me and Zoe!! x

...I live in hope ;)

All of these images are from my Pinterest Boards and all of them uplift me a little. I really love the way positive affirmations can make such a huge difference in your attitude and then have such a weighty impact up your day.

Naturally if you are going though something quite terrible, then these little happies might not be what you need, but if like me you just have a glum moment now and then and don't have several mint aeros in the house, then these do just the trick!

If you do decide to do this post on your blog, feel free to mention it in the comments so that we can all come check you out and find new fun typography art and also do please link back here so more people can find the game. Community at it's best :)

What do you do to boost your moods? Are you as keen on Pinterest as I am?

Lou's Reviews | Blush Me! Blush Box. Me Me Me

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

I have loved makeup for a very long time. I love they way you can tuck anyway any little blemishes and make you positive features shine out.

One of my (many haha) negatives is that I have incredibly rosey cheeks. Some people might like this, but I find myself trialing every product out there to conceal them. For many years I had stuck to a winning (in my opinion) mix of foundation, concealer, bronzer and highlighter and completely side stepped blush.

That was until my chum Zoe gave me a lovely makeover for a video one day and applied a dusting of rouge and abberacaddabera, it looked quite nice!!

Since then, I have been on a quest to find my perfect blushers and have built up quite a little collection.

I have recently tried these MeMeMe Blush Boxes* in Pink and Coral and thought I'd share my thoughts on them.

These little boxes of pigmented pressed powder retail for £8.50 and are pretty close dupes for the famous Benefit boxes which personally, I resent spending £20+ on. They come with a fairly decent brush and reasonably sturdy cardboard packaging. The card is all well and good for someone like me who keeps her makeup in organised draws (call me obsessed, I don't mind), but if you are a 'chuck in your beauty bag and go' kinda gal, this is quickly going to get tatty.

The duration of time that these stay put on your cheeks is perfectly fine (average I would say) and they are very easy to blend or build up if you desired.

All in all I think these are great little products for a pop of colour, with decent packaging a great value. I'm pretty tempted to try the other two in the collection as well.

Have you tried these blushes? How do you think they compare to their more pricey Benefit counterpart?

PS
Guess what? I now have Tumblr! I'm fairly new to it but if you would like to tumble with me (is this correct terminology?!), then HERE is the link. As you'll see, I try and answer a few questions each night.

Amazing Advertiser Update

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Autumn is flying by, non?

A couple of people have been asking where my 'Amazing Advertiser' post is as you enjoy getting to know the folk in the side bar a bit more and I thought I would keep you in the loop because that's what being a Sprinklerino is all about.

I usually run ads from the 3rd to the 3rd and do all the bookings myself. I have been doing it this way for a year now and it has grown (hurrah!) to be quite a big job. With everything else in life getting busier and busier (Baby G is now a toddler dashing about and I have 2 YouTube Channels) I was finding it increasingly difficult to manage and felt like I was struggling to keep on top of things.

At some point during this week I will be introducing a new way to book ads which is easier, safer, more accurate and in some of the packages - cheaper.

The ads currently in the side bar will remain there probably til about Friday (unless I have some free time on Weds or Thurs) and then will all be removed. To rebook slots (with the exception of those who pre paid last month), there will be a new, fair, shop like system - I promise you'll love it!! Before then, I will also do September's Amazing Advertiser post- hooray.

So, I guess this is my way of saying, 'Hey there, my hands are up, I've struggled this month. We need a new way and it's going to be great'.

Have you read any of the side bar ladies blogs? You should, there are some crackers in there!
