Plus Size OOTD | Beach Chic

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Well, I can't quite believe the response last week's Plus Size OOTD post received! I'm sure every blogger feels this way but I really truly think Sprinkle of Glitter readers are the very best. In case you missed it, you can see it HERE. To date 276 of you have left amazing comments and tens of thousands of you have read it, so, WOW. THANK YOU.

Since I had my camera/husband-man with me this weekend, I thought I would share another OOTD with you. I would love to make this a weekly feature but my most frequent companion is only 2 years old and not too great with a camera yet. We'll see how we go!

Outfit Round-Up

White 50's sunglasses :: River Island
Oversized navy tee :: ASOS Curve
Nude and rose gold jacket :: New Look
Long necklace :: Accessorize
Pink and lime scarf  :: Accessorize
Supersoft skinny jeans :: Dorothy Perkins
Bow and crystal sandals :: Miss Selfridge

I had worn this outfit all day. That included walking all round Liverpool city centre shops, looking round a kiddie museum, lugging a pushchair up three flights of stairs (yay for broken lifts, not), in 2 restaurants (it was a good day haha) and then for a baby free stroll along the beach when Darcy was with her grandparents. This outfit is DURABLE!

I would have liked to have taken up close shots of the sandals but just now my feet are not 'summer ready' so I have provided you a link (in the outfit round-up) and urge you to check them out. They are dreamy! I think £49.99 is pretty expensive for a pair of sandals but these are just so pretty and so, so, so comfortable that I don't mind at all. I feel like they add a lot to an outfit and make you feel extra glamorous. Perfect for when your outfit needs a little boost.

The scarf and necklace were naughty impulse purchases this weekend from Accessorize but I think they make the outfit really fun and I always feel more confident with a scarf to draw attention away from lumps and bumps I'm not keen on.

The oversized tee is a recent purchase from ASOS. I bought it in a size 20 so that it would be kind of tunic-like on me and when I take the jacket off it gives a one-shoulder top effect which I think looks comfy-slouchy-sexy (good description there). Also, if you are bigger like I am, a top that skims your bum and tum is always going to be a winner.

Overall I am in love with this outfit. Not great in too much heat but perfect for the British summer, where layering is key and perfect for gals on the go, where comfort is key!

Do you have any favourite pieces from this look? Is there anything you would add or change? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

30 Day Snap #3 | Toy Nestler

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Confused as to what The 30 Day Snap is? Read THIS to be in the loop and join in.

30 Day Snap

Today week we've spent a lot of time playing, a lot of time colouring and a lot of time in PJ's. That's how Mondays should be. I took this picture because I liked how Darcy had nestled herself amongst all her toys. Cutie.

If you are taking part in this project, tell me below! What have you done today?

Motivational Monday #17

Aloha Sprinklerinos,

Hap hap hap hap haaappppppy Monday! Do you have big plans this week? I do.

Motivational Monday

If you cast your mind back, February, March and April were crazytown busy for me. I am a person that likes 'busy' but that kind fo busy was the kind where you realise you have no clean knickers because you've had no time to do your laundry kind of busy. By the time my birthday rolled round I was exhausted. I was burnt out and fraught so did something rather luxurious. I took things slow.

I had a proper think about which projects were essential, which were de-stressers (this blog keeps me calm), which were unnecessary and which were just for fun. Anything that didn't serve a direct purpose (ie. To pay bills, make us happy or create a worthwhile memory) were ditched. I halved my trips to London and I said no to a lot more things. It felt great! I stopped fretting over whether I was missing out and looked at what I was gaining. Quality time with Darcy, a happier relationship with Matt, a deeper kind of self confidence and moments to stop and appreciate what I have.

Now, I'm not suggesting you quit your jobs, loose your friends, trash your house and go live in the forest with nature (unless you like that kind of thing), but I am suggesting that today you make a little list. Is there anything in your life that you are doing for no real reason? Are you doing things purely because you feel obliged or because you feel socially pressured to? If you don't go to that party of a friend of a friend will it really be a big deal? Do you actually need to schedule a meeting for something you could do over Skype? Could you order your shopping online and spend that time watching a film with your boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife/pet?

Think about it. Don't cut out people and don't skimp on work you must do, but do streamline your life a little. You'll feel like your brain is decluttered and everything feels that much easier.

I'm all about easy. It leads to happy.

Share in the comments one thing that you could cut out and what you could do better with that time? Even if the 'better' is sitting doing nothing :)
